.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
Chelsea Feuchs is a third-year rabbinical student at HUC-JIR, where she is a Wexner Graduate Fellow. Originally from Goldens Bridge, New York, Chelsea attended Brown University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Judaic Studies. Upon graduation, she became a JOIN for Justice Fellow and worked for two years as a labor organizer with the construction unions in Massachusetts.
Chelsea subsequently became a Dorot Fellow in Israel, where she read the whole Tanach with feminist commentary. This instilled in Chelsea a deep love of Torah and a desire to use its text to open up and center difficult conversations in the Jewish community. Before beginning rabbinical school, Chelsea worked for a year at ARZA, the Association of Reform Zionists of America. Chelsea has also worked with many of Central’s youngest members during her time teaching at Crane Lake Camp and both LCLJ campuses. She is eager to continue her time with Central Synagogue and get to know even more of the community in her new role as Rabbinic Intern.
