Alfred D. Youngwood has been a member of Central Synagogue for more than 45 years, including serving as the President from 2003–06. His children, Jonathan and Stephen, both attended Central’s LCLJ. Both sons were married by Rabbi Peter Rubinstein, and his son Jonathan and his family are members of Central. Alfred and his family have taken several trips to Israel with both Rabbi Sheldon Zimmerman and Rabbi Rubinstein. Alfred graduated from Horace Mann School, Yale College, and Harvard Law School. He was a tax partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP from 1970 until his retirement in 2008.
