David B. Edelson
David B. Edelson is a Senior Advisor at Loews Corporation, where he served as Senior Vice President from May 2005 to June 2022 and Chief Financial Officer from May 2014 to May 2022. Prior to joining Loews, David was Executive Vice President & Corporate Treasurer at JP Morgan Chase. David is also a director of AutoNation, Inc.
David currently serves as Board Chair of the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion. He is a trustee of the Jewish Board of Family & Children’s Services, where he served as Board President from 2018 to 2022. David is also a director of UJA-Federation of New York and a member of the board of visitors of the Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth College.
David earned an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1985 and graduated from Dartmouth in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in English. David and his wife, Cindy, have been members of Central Synagogue since 1999. They have three children, Charlotte, Annabel, and Oliver, all of whom have flown the coop. David became a Central Trustee in 2004, served as an officer from 2006–09, and as President from 2012–15.
