How Meaning Renews; Lasting Sermons and Contemporary Poems

Wednesday, March 9 – April 13, 2022, 10:00–11:15 am ET

Virtual

This class will pair essential considerations from provocative contemporary sermons and teachings with engaging contemporary poems that reflect or refract those messages. We will be reading passages from celebrated teachers including Rabbi Angela Buchdahl, Rabbi Noa Kushner, Jewish folklorist Howard Schwartz, and Rabbi Jerome Davidson. By pairing their texts with poems, we will find additional ways to realize their messages anew.

Instructor: Jess Greenbaum

All sessions will be held online
