For Parents
For Parents
Becoming involved in the Parent Association is a great way to support the mission of the Nursery School, give back to the school community, and form friendships with fellow parents.

Parent Association
Led by two co-chairs each year and assisted by class parents and a number of committee chairs, our active Parent Association (PA), plans and sponsors our Annual Book Fair and Annual Nursery School Benefit. The PA also assists in the admissions process as welcome ambassadors, and partners with the Nursery School to sponsor “Coffee Talks” for the CentralChat series, produces an annual yearbook, and sponsors an annual spirit week, just to name a few of its many initiatives throughout the year.
Parent Workshops
Central Synagogue sponsors CentralChats, a number of workshops for parents throughout the year led by the nursery school director, members of the Clergy, the director of youth and family education, Central Synagogue staff, and special consultants to our school. At these informal discussion groups, specific topics are covered and parents are invited to bring questions. Topics include the exmissions process, Jewish parenting issues, and social and emotional, physical, and speech and language growth and development. Due to COVID-19, parent discussions are being held virtually.
