Repairing the World

Repairing the World

Tikkun olam, or repairing the world, is a bedrock value of Jewish faith. Practicing it is not only a way for us to make our world a better place, but it strengthens our Jewish identity and demonstrates our values.

Central in Action explores the Jewish roots of social justice work and raises key questions that help guide and enrich our efforts to repair the world and understand the idea of “justice” in the Jewish tradition. Our initiatives and campaigns take a look at contemporary issues such as immigration, environmental protection, and racial justice, while inviting us to consider such questions as how we balance our personal obligations with those of our greater community and continue to spark deeper compassion and positive change.
